Current and Upcoming Lane Closures

The public information team will post weekly updates and lane closures/traffic information to help the community get around the construction.

75 Express Traffic Report  –07/19/19 - 07/26/19

Segments C - I-75 from South of Miramar Parkway to South of Sheridan Street

  • The southbound entrance ramp to 75 Express from Miramar Parkway will be closed 11 p.m. Monday, July 22 until 2 a.m. Tuesday, July 23. During this time, motorists wishing to take the southbound entrance ramp of 75 Express from Miramar Parkway will be detoured to continue south on the I-75 general purpose lanes. 

Construction Lane Closures/Detours‚Äč

FDOT will make every effort to minimize impacts to motorists on the road, but it will be necessary to close travel lanes at various times and locations to complete the project-related work safely.  The lane closures will be subject to change based on weather or unforeseen circumstances and will be posted regularly for the community.

In general accordance with local noise ordinances, construction activities including demolition, pile driving, and sheet pile driving shall not occur during the following time periods:

  • 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM weekdays
  • 7:00 PM to 9:00 AM weekends

Additionally, ground mounted sound barrier wall installation shall not occur during the following time periods:

  • 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM weekdays
  • 7:00 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday

Tips on Getting Around During Construction

  • Allow For Extra Travel Time – Allow more time to reach your destination due to detours and lane closures
  • Check 511 - For real-time information dial 511 or visit
  • Buckle Up - Wearing a safety belt is the single most effective way to protect people and reduce fatalities in motor vehicle crashes
  • Pay Close Attention – Signs and work zone flaggers save lives
  • Turn on Your Headlights – Workers and other motorists must see you
  • Don’t Tailgate – Unexpected stops frequently occur in work zones
  • Don’t Speed – Note the posted speed limits in and around the work zone
  • Keep up With the Traffic Flow – Dedicate your full attention to the roadway and those traveling around you
  • Don’t Change Lanes in the Work Zone – The time saved just isn’t worth it
  • Minimize Distractions – Avoid changing radio stations and using cellular phones while driving in the work zone
  • Expect the Unexpected – Keep an eye out for workers and their equipment
  • Be Patient – Remember the work zone crewmembers are working to improve your future ride.
